Rm 4 - The Somerset Suite

On entry you will be surprised at the spaciousness of this lovely suite. Not only is the room well equipped with flat screen TV, free WiFi, and comfy sitting area, but also comes with a well-functioning kitchen great for extended stays.  As the sun sets over Launceston you have the perfect view to watch the twinkling of the evening lights brighten the sky. The Somerset room was named as a tribute to Windarra’s history as “The Somerset House Rest Home” during the late 1930’s and 40’s. Here expecting mothers and the elderly all found a place of rest at Windarra under the watchful care of Sister Drew, the resident nurse. We hope this room will give you the same level of rest and refreshment as its past lodgers.
